Asal Tamil Movie DVDRip Watch Online. | Latest Tamil Movie Asal DVDRip Watch Online | Ajith's Asal DVDRip Watch Online

Watch Movie Online

Asal is Ajith's 49th film. Its of course a much awaited movie by the Ajith fans. This movie has brought back the old team Ajith and Saran. Also Ajith is the Assistant director of the film. He is also credited for the story, screenplay and dialogues along with Saran and Yuhi Sethu. So he has an extra responsibility for the good going of the film.

Asal is a story of riot between three brothers over a property. Two of the brothers (Sampath Kumar and Rajeev Krishna) are constantly fighting for the wealth and the property while the other brother keeps aside and tries to stop the family getting split. The feud existed there in the family right from the father's time and is still continuing even after the death of the father. Both the good son and father's role is played by Ajith. The wealth seems too much for the brothers to handle and they land in trouble. So Ajith comes for their rescue. The rest deals with the climax. For more see the movie Asal.

Sameera Reddy is playing the heroine, has no much scope of performance in the film but has enacted her role very well. Bhavana looks pretty in the movie. Ajith, as usual is looking glamorous and handsome in the film. Even Sampath, Rajeev and Pradeep has done their roles of villains very well. As far as the story is concerned there is nothing much extra ordinary in it and sometimes it pricks that the cast , especially Ajith is given a priority than the script. Yuhi Sethu tries hard to provide a few comic moments, succeeding partially on the rare occasion; his side kicks trying hard with a few gimmicks as well. Prabhu shows a dignified presence. The only thing to say that its the presence of Ajith in his stylish costumes and accessories that stop one from getting bored.

Technically speaking the shots in France is quite appreciable. The camera has done a wonderful job. The streets and other beautiful sceneries of France is beautifully impressed. Action scenes are not that pleasing and could have been made better. The music by Bharadwaj gives hardly any feelings.

All in all the movie Asal, produced by Sivaji Productions can be categorized as a stylish movie by Ajith. Altogether Ajith has impressed his fans but director Saran disappointed again. The movie is visually pleasing and one can enjoy his time seeing the movie. Don't think too much. Just watch the movie.

Sura 2010 Tamil Movie PDVDRip Watch Online Starring Vijay, Tamannah | Sura Tamil Movie Reviews | Vijay Latest Movie Sura Full Movie Watch Online

Watch Movie Online

Sura is a benchmark film for Vijay, as he celebrates his golden jubilee in the only soil he can shine in. The story has been told before (umpteen amount of times) - a tale of a fisherman, a do-gooder to his fisherman community, head decision maker of the community, who is crossed by a powerful politician to lose all and then regain more.

This dimwitted film is passé for even hardcore fans. On the onset of the shoot there was so much of media glare that set the expectation meter scaling way up and Sura was surely a sought after and anticipated film of the season. Sun Pictures(market leader) decided to back the project and distribute it, and this added to the hype further.

There are lapses in every department, starting from the production, direction, music, choreography, stunts and even comedy. Vijay's team should guess how long they would get away with this kind of fooling the audience.

Rumour has it that once director Gautham Menon had approached Vijay for a film, however this was never done because Vijay had asked him to script a movie around the storyline of his previous films. When you have all Vijay movies turning out in a particular way, you would want to consider the above more than just a rumour.

The direction of SA Rajkumar is clueless and is directionless.

The story revolves around a fishermen village. Although special effects have been used to create the village sets, the core set of the village seems so fake. The shots are also inconsistent.

The editing looks haphazard; certain scenes are so poorly edited that even a layman could tell.

The dances are again repeats of Vijay’s previous films even the famous "hand on bottom" rip-off from Pokiri the leg sequence from ATM. The elastic and acrobat dance caught a fancy in Pradhu Deva's times but looks like it should be rested - it’s an overdose.

Though it has been rumored that the film Sura which has Vijay in the lead is the remake of the Malayalam film Chotta Mumbai, the fact is that director S P Rajkumar has taken only one portion for the inspiration touch. Thamanna dons the role of a bubbly college girl and is the love interest of Vijay. It is guaranteed that Vijay will be rocking in the dance sequences. There are racy stunt scenes where Vijay fights with four villains which will bring you to the edge of your seat. The Telugu Magadheera villain poses a big challenge for Vijay in Sura. There are strong dialogues in this film which might provoke the politicians. Because of this these dialogues are being reshot. There will be no dearth for sensations.

OK. Now what is the story of Sura. Vijay like the MGR in Padagotti gets friendly with fishermen folks and begins his game. He is like a God to the fishing hamlets. He is fondly called Sura. When all are happy comes a silent tsunami in the form of smuggler big wig like Velu Naiker in Nayagan. He plans to curb the fishing hamlet lands in order to run his business smoothly. He tries to cheat the poor fishermen folk by saying that a big factory is going to come up in that area and promises to give lands in compensation. The news goes to Sura that these poor fishermen have been cheated. Now Vijay starts the hunting and the fisherman gets their justice, peace and happiness.

Since most of the story is happening in the sea, the shooting of the film took place in Pondicherry, Kerala and Thoothukudi. Nan Pura Illaada Sura ( I am not a dove but I am a shark) is the punch dialogue of Vijay in this film. Most of the stunt scenes have been shot in mid sea and in spite of his sea sickness, Vijay has excelled in the stunts scenes. As usual Vaali has penned the lyrics for the opening song and Kabilan has written a lyric which depicts Vijay’s personality and his ideals.

Kacheri Arambham Tamil Movie Review Starring Jeeva

Banner: Super Good Films
Production: R.B. Choudary
Direction: Thiraivannan
Star-casts: Jeeva, J.D. Chakravarthy, Poonam Bajwa, Vadivelu, Azhagam Perumal and others
Music: D. Imman

When certain auteurs embark out for testing waters with various genres, few filmmakers wanna take a safest bet, which is all about making a commercial film. ‘Kacheri Arambam’ is a full-fledged masala flick that doesn’t offer any rooms for innovative quotients.

Gotta know what’s Katcheri Arambam is all about?

A self-aggrandizing portrayal of hero falling in love with a girl (remember! Fall in love at first sight) and of course, a powerful baddie dying hard for the girl and a predictable climax.

Just like his previous film ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ kick-starts with a train journey, the commercial drama does take-off in the same ambience. This time, it’s not a beautiful missy, but filmmaker Thiraivannan himself premising the film. On the 8th minute, you’ve a flashback revealing about Paari (Jeeva), a happy-go-lucky youngster with a goodwill nature (We love to have a neighbor like him). He’s ready to give away his bike, money and what else? Anything you ask him. This often lands him onto the grounds of pettifoggeries with his dad (Azhagam Perumal). What’s next? The son wants to prove himself and takes a journey to Chennai and that’s where the film begins.

Sooner, Paari comes across Madhi (Poonam Bajwa) and falls for her and later gets exposed to a shocking truth that she’s tightly frequented under the control of Sivamani (JD Chakravarthy), a deadly don, who had previously saved from clutches of a gang and vowed to marry her.

What unfolds next is a series of hand-to-hand combat between Paari and Sivamani with a much predictable climax.

Technically, the film doesn’t stand out at good standards. Imman’s music is irksomely done while rapid-cuts over editing leaves out a dizzy feel and cinematography by Vaidy could’ve been better.

‘Katcheri Arambam’ maybe an enjoyable commercial treat for ‘C’ centres and frontbenchers, whom doesn’t care about the illogical attributes.

What works: Vadivelu, first half

What doesn’t work: Overdosed commercial elements, Jeeva’s attempt to be a commercial hero, songs, editing, J.D. Chakravarthy’s weak characterization…

Azhagana Ponnuthan - Tamil Movie Review Starring Namitha

Director Thiru (not the one who directed ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’) with Namitha in the company has dished out a glamourous entertainer that would obviously woo his target audience – the youngsters.

The filmmaker seems to have been inspired heavily by ‘Summer of 42′, a 1971 classic directed by Robert Mulligan. But for Namitha, as promised by the promos, ‘Azhagana Ponnuthan’ has nothing big to offer to movie-goers.

In a nutshell, the movie is about a youth who loves a woman older to him one-sided. Though it is a bold theme considering the society that we live, the narration takes away all the sheen. A cliched presentation and predictable characterisation mars the flow of the film.

Namitha is the saving grace as she appears in flaunting costumes, dances and eventually provides loads of advices too. Parthiban appears in the very first reel recollecting his travails with a woman whom he had developed an affinity in his teens.

A flashback takes one to Kodaikanal where Karthik (Karteesh) falls instantly for a gorgeous woman called Jennifer (Namitha), who is older to him. She is admired and respected by everyone, especially men.

It is all but Karthik’s wild imagination is the rest. Karthik sings duets with Jennifer and runs behind her. However in the latter half, he goes into a shell brooding over his love and beloved. Twists and turns reveal that Jennifer’s husband has died in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. What happens then forms the climax.

Namitha has tried to shed her glamdoll image and perform in the movie. But a weak narration by Thiru gives no place for it. The commercial elements gives the movie a different colour, which unfortunately doesn’t work. The young Karteesh reminds one of ‘Kadhal Kondein’ Dhanush at many a place. Parthiban needs to be applauded for taking the guts to do such a role. A couple of songs by Sundar C Babu are hummable.

On the whole, Thiru has provided a bold theme that may work wonders with front-benchers.

Angadi Theru - Tamil Movie Review Starring Mahesh, Anjali

Banner: Ayngaran International
Production: Karunakaran, Arun Pandian
Direction: Vasantha Balan
Star-casts: Mahesh, ‘Katradhu Tamizh’ Anjali, A. Venkatesh and others
Music: G.V. Prakash, Vijay Anthony

Vasantha Balan’s unique way of projecting realism has been his highlighting USP. If ‘Veyil’ was all about contrastive scenarios of triumphs and failures in the lives of two brothers, he’s back with a powerful bang in ‘Angadi Theru’, which speaks about the other side of T. Nagar.

It’s been more off clichés, where our film protagonists head from their villages to Chennai seeking for fortune and indeed fetch it. But Vasantha Balan takes us through a journey with anguishes of youngsters in textile showrooms of Chennai, whose lives are downtrodden and quite pathetic.

Abuse and oppression is what these salespersons are exposed to and how the lead characters survive the badgerings has been well depicted in ‘Angadi Theru’.

But anything in excess is too difficult to handle, isn’t? In simple terms, ‘Angadi Theru’ is an excess baggage of overdosed emotions and pathos.

An unexpected demise of his father in an accident leaves Jyothi Lingam (Mahesh) desolated. Drenched in a high-risk situation, Lingam leaves to Chennai along with his friend Maarimuthu as they get employed in the one of the biggest textile showrooms in T. Nagar. But life isn’t easy as they expected as hundreds of salesmen and women are prone to inhumanity like reducing a rupee for every minute they’re late to office. Girls are molested if they’re found playing during business time.

On the different segments, we are introduced to various characters of a lame husband and wife, an underprivileged person’s sudden change of fortune with a public toilet.

Every character has its own joyousness, upheavals and how they overcome it….Hard-hitting dialogues penned by Jaya Mohan impinges straight into your heart, sometimes wrenches it.

Especially, the perfect reason behind lame man’s wife on giving birth to a handicapped child leaves you stunned. Of course, it deserves a grand round of applause. Vasantha Balan has to thank his technicians for the ability of discerning his motives.

Richard’s cinematography is sharp, exquisite and elegant and the shots captured through hidden cameras have been done awesomely. Vijay Anthony’s ‘Aval Appadi’ is dulcetly resplendent while his background score could’ve been better.

On the performance level, newcomer Magesh has put forth his best efforts, emoting with right momentums. His simplistic comeliness over the screens is appreciable while his outbursts at valid situations are commendable. Anjali comes up with an overpoweringly stunning performance as her overall acting will win her accolades. The others in supporting roles including director A. Venkatesh as the cruel manager have done justice to their roles.

Valuating this film maybe an indifferent situation as it has lots of appreciable factors and on pars, certain emotions that are too heavy to perceive. Doubtlessly, ‘Angadi Theru’ will be prove its high-quality contents amongst single screens and down south audiences while for those moviegoers planning to kill their time, this isn’t a right option.

What works: Jayamohan’s dialogues, director’s ability to present a drama at same backdrop of a textile showroom, performance levels of all star-casts…

What didn’t work: Extended climax with unnecessary pathos, background score, lengthy second half and lots of loud outcries.

Paiyaa Tamil Movie Review Starring Karthik, Tamanna

The director of ‘Run’, ‘Sandai Kozhi’ etc. is back with another racy action adventure, ‘Paiyaa’. Expect action-packed scenes in this movie as well.

Boy O’ Boy! The movie is an action journey no doubt! At no frame of the movie, will anyone feel bored or tired.

The Story:

 Paiya Movie Review

The movie starts off in Bangalore, with Karthi (Shiva) who lives with his friends who try to get him a job desperately. Karthi is a guy who is easy on life and has a ‘thennavatu’ attitude On one such occasion of a job hunt, Karthi spots Tamannah (Charulatha) while getting down the bus and falls for her instantly.

Well, we all have grown up seeing such scenes, in fact in Lingusamy’s ‘Run’ itself, when Madhavan sees Meera Jasmine, and falls for her at the bus stand, and déjà vu – the same spot- Bus stop!

Unfolding the plot:

The hero goes to the railway station to pick a friend who owns a car that Karthi and his friends drive. While waiting for his friend to arrive, Karthi sees the terribly tensed Tamannah with her uncle who mistake Karthi to be a cab driver and ask him to drop them at Chennai.

Accepting the travel, Karthi takes off in the black Mitsubishi Lancer along with his guests. When they pause for refueling, Tamannah asks Karthi to buzz off leaving her uncle behind. From here starts the real road trip of ‘Paiyaa’ with full throttle.

On their journey, they encounter people, new locations and the hero and heroine get along well. While this happens, Tamannah narrates her story and lets Karthi know that her Father is looking to marry her to someone she doesn’t like. So ‘Andhra’ villains (a dozen in number) chase Tamannah, on the instructions of their leader, a lady with a fiery voice (because we can’t really see her but just listen to her instructions on the mobile phone).

On Tamannah’s request, Karthi sets off to Mumbai, and with a fight scene on their way, Karthi reveals his connection with Mumbai. Pit stop (Interval).

And soon appears the Flashback:

On a job search in the past, Karthi comes to Mumbai and circumstances lead him to the villain.

In comes, Milind Soman as ‘Bali’ who gets a wild introduction as one of Mumbai’s powerful Don. But soon is punched a powerful blow on his stomach that he spits blood out. After all it’s the Hero who’s punching!

Here forms the plot, a Mumbai don behind Karthi and Andhra goondaas behind Tamannah, and how the lead pair comes out of their clutches is what forms the rest of the movie.

The team:

This movie is everything about the team, comprising of Mathi, the cinematographer, Anthony the editor, Yuvan Shankar Raja, the music director, Brinda Sarathy the dialogue writer, the Stunt Director Kanal Kannan, Art by Rajeevan.

Being a road movie, most of the action is in the car or rather on the road! Considering the hardships involved, the camera work is immaculate. The action scenes with cars all over, and car chases in the movie would have definitely been a toll on the director and the cinematographer. Editing the different versions of the camera, Anthony has done an incredible job. ‘Paiyaa’ definitely has got the best of Anthony out.

The car sequences on Indian Highways and the backdrops have been beautifully captured. Dialogues weaved in between are subtle and natural. Nothing too cinematic or too dramatic! Funny dialogue delivery of Karthi makes the audience laugh many a time.

Art work by Rajeevan is enduring and simply attractive. From the car seats to the sets of the song ‘Suthude Suthude’, the man has shown his tastes, given the limited scope for art in the ‘road movie’.

Karthi and Tamannah look fresh, in their attire as well as their looks. Priya Manikandan, the costume designer has seemingly done an impressive job.

What to look out for?

Director Lingusamy’s screen play starts off on a slower note but progresses steadily in to the fifth gear!

‘Paiyaa’ is an action adventure, and a movie of such a genre needs the best of action scenes. Kanal Kannan, has done a marvellous job. The actions scenes are simply amazing. Special effects in the actions scenes by Sethu receive special appreciation.

Besides this, the music! The greatest strength of the movie! Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed beautiful songs with ‘En Kadhal Solla’ receiving a loud applause. His background score as well as re-recording are excellent. The music behind the fight sequences gives the racy feel. Definitely the biggest plus-point in the movie! Apart from this, the sound engineers Guru et al, receive appreciation as well.

While the songs are pleasing to hear, the choreography makes it a pleasure to watch Karthi dance to the steps of dance masters – Raju Sundaram, Brinda and Sabina Khan.

‘Adada Mazhai’ choreographed by Raju Sundaram receives that special attention, while the pick of the lot is ‘Thuli Thuli’ choreographed by Brindha.

Lingusamy has brought out a classy entertainer. He takes you on a virtual journey from Bangalore to Mumbai. Those who love cars, fights, and of course romance, ‘Paiyaa’ is definitely an entertainer this summer. Rush to watch it in a cinema near you!
