The Capabilities Of The Subconscious

By Jayne Colman

When someone speaks of a strange reoccurring dream, how many times have they made the comment "My subconscious must be trying to tell me something." The truth is our subconscious minds sends us messages all the time both good and bad.

Much of the time those gut feelings we have are just our subconscious mind letting us know that we need to do something in particular circumstances. The issue is we more often than not do not adhere to the messages our subconscious is sending us.

Your Subconscious Has the Power to Hold You Back

Surprisingly of what we hear, see and experience in life is buried in our subconscious. So if as a youth you were often told that you are not worth much, that you will never meet you dreams and that you are a failure, your subconscious mind will bury those words. Later in life when you are older, you see that you have goals but no matter how hard you try, you cannot meet them because you are always running into problems that set you back.

The fact is that it is not the problems you face at all but your subconscious mind repeating the words you heard as a kid, repeating them to you, and keeping you back from meeting those goals you set.

Your Subconscious Has the Power to Push You Forward

However, if as a kid you have been told often that you can do whatever you want over and over then as you grow up and take on goals you will accomplish your tasks no matter how many tell you it cannot be done.

The Key to The Power of Your Subconscious

The key to controlling the power of your subconscious is to exchange the negative thoughts while hearing helpful and positive messages from your subconscious. For years self-help experts have expressed to you that the method to heightening your self-esteem is to say positive things about yourself aloud. What they are not sharing with you and may not even comprehend themselves is that by repeating these positive statements repeatedly we are burying these positive thoughts in our subconscious and ridding of the negative thoughts.

When we have these positive thoughts buried just under the surface those are the thoughts that come through when we are trying to accomplish a goal. Instead of receiving the message of I am not able to do this, we will now hear we can do this and we deserve this success.

So when we are faced with a task, our subconscious is not only telling we know how to accomplish the task but we deserve to do so and to reap all the benefits from our accomplishments. This belief makes it possible to achieve anything we put our minds to as long as we are willing to work towards the goal we have set.

It is surprising just how much you can achieve when you learn to harness the power of your subconscious.
