Thaha, the director has earlier directed the laugh riot, Ee Parakkum Thalika, with Dileep as the hero. Kappal Muthalali is inspired from a real life incident, where a ship was seen at a compound near Chirakkal in Cherthala. Ramesh Pisharody is a popular mimicry artist and has earlier acted in V K Prakash’s Positive. Sarayu, the heroine, is a degree student and has acted in Sulthan earlier.
STORYLINE: Bhoominathan (Ramesh Pisharody) has resigned his job from the Passport Office and he is all set to make a resort, to make some fast bucks. While digging to build a swimming pool, he finds the remnants of an old ship. His life changes forever as the Archaeological department take over the site.
REVIEW: If your concept of an entertainer is some mindless fun, without any logic, there are chances that you find Kappal Muthalali watchable. There is a rather decent storyline here, but the script lacks strength and the film is, at best, an average fare. It’s fine to be a bit loud, senseless and the sort to make the viewers laugh, but some of the scenes like the one where tea is supplied out of the penis of a toy that resembles a man is funny?
