Movie Overview

Renjith, a successful director in Malayalam, came out with a new concept of getting ten directors in the industry together and each will make a short film on a common theme. This novel idea was supported by a new company, Backwater Media and Entertainment. The theme is ‘Yatra’, with a backdrop of a railway station café. Therefore the concept come alive in the celluloid, named ‘Kerala Cafe’.







Lal Jose, Shaji Kailas, Anwar Rasheed, Shyamaprasad, B.Unnikrishnan, Revathy, Anjali Menon, M.Padmakumar, Shankar Ramakrishnan and Uday Ananthan are the ten directors giving life to the concept. Each director has made a story of about 10 to 15 minutes on the common theme, and all the ten stories are packed together into a 135 minutes long film. The movie is featured by many stars of the Malayalam film industry such as Mammootty, Jairam, Jothirmayi, Meera Nandan and many others, however the big stars Mohanlal and Dileep is missing in this list.
