Movie Overview
In Makante Achan, director VM Vinu tells
a story of a father,Vishwanathan (Sreenivasan) who wish to make his son, Manu (VineetSreenivasan) as an engineer and forcing him to study for the entrance exam. The son is not that interested where music is his weakness. The institute where he goes for coaching too is very (Military) strict. The father is an honest village officer and he had to cross a road with a fraud swami (Jagathy).
The movie tries to give some silent message about the present reality. Like, when the Village officer find it difficult to own a 5 cent land even in a jungle looking place, the peon in the village office own a Mansion with all luxuries because he do some real estate business outside. Some light is thrown at the Godmans of India and how they manipulate the media and become popular and powerful.
