India lost 1st 20-20

India lost to Sri Lankans by 29 runs in the first 20-20 match at Nagpur. Needing a target of 216 runs in 20 overs, India were only able to make 186/9 in the 20 overs. Gautham Gambhir top scored with 55. Virender Sehwag gave a good start for India but his early departure cost heavily for the Indians. Dhoni, Yuvraj, Rohit Sharma failed to make any impact. Among the bowling department, Ashish Nehra conceded 54 from his 4 overs. Kumar Sangakkara scored 78 of just 37 balls that took the game away from the Indians. India will be hoping for a win in the next match to level the 2 match series.
