A smirking Cook attempted to tap gloves with Lashley before the fight, but his obviously insulted opponent would have none of it. Even after the opening bell rang, Cooks arrogant approach to the fight continued as he immediately clinched with his opponent as if he had no regard whatsoever for Lashley's strength. Lashley immediately locked in a guillotine choke and basically yanked Cook down to the mat by his head. Cook didnt even get the chance to tap out as veteran referee Big John McCarthy recognized he was out cold and pulled Lashley off of him.

After the fight Lashley gave his opponent a hug and flashed his trademark megawatt smile as if to say I told you so. In his postfight interview, however, he did slip in a final verbal jab toward his vanquished opponent, quipping that now Cook can go put the mask back on and have fun with himself'.

Despite the fact that mixed martial arts and professional wrestling have been interwoven from the beginning, the American Top Team trained Lashley has been singled out by less knowledgeable fans. Sapp remains a hugely popular personality in Japan, however, and simply by fighting him Lashley's marketability in the lucrative Japanese fight sport market increases significantly.

Prince Of Persia Comes To Big Screen From The Video Game In The Sands Of Time

Directed by Mike Newell, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. This movie is based on the 2003 video game of the same title and starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, Gemma Arterton as Princess Tamina and Ben Kingsley as Nizam.

I was a bit unsure about Jake playing a macho character though. He does bare a resemblance the Video Game character however and has a "Persian-ish" kind of look so maybe it was a good pick. You know, cause of the whole Brokeback Mountain thing. I was a little iffy. Well as it turns out he didn't do such a bad job.

I predict bigger and better things for Gemma Arterton in the future. She plays Princess Tamina well and was a very good heroine. Plus she's really cute. Ben Kingsley is making a bit of a come back and after "A Sound of Thunder" I'm sure he's relieved he still gets decent characters in movies.

The general plot of the movie is that a mystical dagger that contains the sands of time has the power to reverse time. No Delorean, no 1.21 gigawatts, no 88 MPH. Doc brown didn't need all that apparently. It was funny, action packed and cheesy in just the right doses to make it so very Disney. This film is precisely what you expect it'll be. If I didn't know anything about who distributed and produced it I would still say Disney and Bruckheimer five minutes into the movie.

I mean it's Disney. Happy endings are staple. None of that bad guys get away with it at the end kind of stuff. Like most time travel movies though you some how know, especially since its Disney, that if any of the lead characters die, they might just come back to life through some clever time travel. None of that bad guys get away with it at the end kind of stuff. So thus you might be able to guess the ending once you find out what exactly it is the bad guys in this film are up to.

The bad guys in this scenario are the Hassansins. I know what you're thinking. Isn't that just assasins with a H? I actually thought it was Hollywood playing on stereotypes again. Like take a middle eastern sounding name like Hassan combine it with a scary proffession like assasins and you get Hassansins! Like Mustafa + Savages= Mustavages, or Anwar + Warriors = Anwarriors or Ali + Gangster = uh? Ali G? Oh I lost it on the last one. Thats what I thought it was. Lets face it, it wouldn't be the first time right? It turns out however that "Hashshashins" were the Persian designation of the Nizari branch of the Ismaili Shia Muslims during the Middle Ages and is thought from which the word assassin came from. So um My bad.

Thought that little piece of trivia was worth stating. I would watch it again and that doesn't happen for many movies. It does its job as an entertaining action adventure while pleasing most of the fans of the video game i'm sure.

If Ryan leaves, they may not be able to do this and Miller's company aids them in making a heroic stand that is both a tragedy and a triumph rolled into one.

This is a story that heavily reflects on the tragedy of war, the necessity of war, and the value of human life in the face of many different circumstances. This could likely be among the best war movies of all time, if not just included in some of the best movies of all time in general. Today's energy conscious climate has motivated many to do what they can to become more efficient and conserve energy and money. Unfortunately this same climate has prompted others to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers' wishes to save energy and reduce expenses.

Companies that tout power factor improvement (kVAR correction) and transient voltage suppression are a good example of this bad trend. Lately we are seeing more and more of these companies cropping up and feel it is time to set the record straight.

First, transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS) plays a valuable role in improving power quality to protect sensitive equipment inside a facility. However, TVSS does not save energy. TVSS's are only active a tiny fraction of a second to protect against voltage surges which only last for less than a millisecond. To actually reduce energy consumption the TVSS would need to actually cut power consumption for an extended period of time which is not what they are designed to do. Again, TVSS is important to protect sensitive electrical equipment but buyers should avoid vendors promising, or even guaranteeing, that they will reduce energy consumption.

Now what about vendors who claim that improving power factor will save 15% or 20% or 30% of energy consumption and corresponding cost? This one is a little trickier.

For residential applications, power factor does nothing to save energy because the typical home already has an average power factor of about 0.97 which is almost the perfect power factor of 1 or unity. In addition, the device (called a capacitor) is placed at the main circuit breaker. According to IEEE 5.5.3.3 capacitors must be situated at or near the respective inductive loads to reduce power system losses by reducing heat and distribution losses known as I2R losses.

So what about commercial and industrial facilities using power factor correction to reduce energy costs? It is perfectly appropriate for a company that is incurring penalties or a kVA billing structure from the utility company to improve the facility's overall power factor by employing a capacitor bank at the main service entrance or individual capacitors at or near the respective motor loads. Doing so will eliminate the power factor penalties and/or reduce the kVA demand charges on the utility bill which can save significant money and provide a significant ROI on the investment.

But what about power factor correction reducing kWh consumption? IEEE also tells us that I2R losses only account for 2 to 5% of the total load in a facility. Simple math tells us that it would be against the laws of physics to get the 15% to 30% energy reduction claimed by some vendors. Think about it. Even if your facility had 5% distribution losses and you could correct 100% of the problem via power factor correction at every load (which can't be done) you would still only save 5% at the most. No where near the claims of some capacitor vendors and manufacturers.

All that said, power factor correction when done properly will eliminate utility penalties and kVA demand charges, improve facility power quality, increase electrical system capacity, and save a little energy when applied to the appropriate motor loads.

So make an investment in transient voltage surge suppression and power factor correction when appropriate and necessary. But caveat emptor!

Winter Camping Tips

If you're an avid snowmobiler, than you may also have or will do so during a winter camping trip.

During cold nights, sleeping in a tent for a few nights can be a rigorous task with the risks of frostbite or hypothermia to contend with.

At least when you snowmobile in the morning and afternoon you have the sun to give you some warmth, in the evening and night when the sun is gone, the temperature can drop significantly.

There are some precautions and measures that adventurous lovers of the outdoors can take to protect themselves during winter camping to fully enjoy their experience, though.

Camping in the winter wilderness can be an exciting and adrenaline-producing experience. Planning is the most important aspect of enjoying a winter camping adventure, though.

Number one in your planning agenda should be to scope out the region you plan to visit and get a good idea of how the winter weather is like in the area so you can properly prepare yourself.

Knowing the average amount of snow, routes that you plan to take, and the experience of the group that you are going to travel with are important factors in planning your winter camping trip.

For instance, planning a snowmobile vacation that involves camping overnight with young children would not be an ideal scenario as they are generally more susceptible to exposure from the frigid winter elements.

Overnight camping, especially during the winter seasons, can cause your body to lose heat at exponential rates. This can be a great danger if the proper precautions are not taken care of during the planning stages.

Finally, no overnight camping trip would be complete without an ample amount of food for everybody in the group. A popular treat among campers is smores, but campers should also include foods that provide a better degree of nourishment.

You need to eat to stay nourished during the day so bring rather appealing foods as well as nutritional since appetites tend to die down when we are cold.

Oatmeal, granola, cheese, and other dry foods which are rich in vitamins and minerals is a must for winter camper.

Camping and snowmobiling can lead to a great time for all groups but it will take some careful packing and planning. Do so and you can enjoy it many times over.

Television networks are producing more factual and realistic shows to attract general viewing public. The masses seem to have more interests in watching ordinary people doing exuberant stuff.

Reality shows have become popular in the past few years among general viewing public. These hour long episodes attract attention because ordinary men become the cast of the program and they are in an unscripted situation struggling to reach their targets and perform tasks in the best manner in actual events.

There are several classifications under reality shows. TV networks came up with documentary style programs, elimination or game shows, makeovers or self-improvement, renovation, hoaxes, hidden cameras, talk shows, and dating shows.

The new faces in the reality shows are usually uncomfortable with the camera. The ordinary people participating in the reality shows make the programs tireless for the public by their talent and adventure.

More often than not, viewers can get a glimpse of their anxiety as they compete with the other contestants. An example of such would be The Amazing Race. This show is focused on a set of contestants that travels around the world and racing each other in beating several clues that would bring them closer to the monetary prize.

Anxiety is seen as they try hard in running through airports, getting flight schedules, understanding a different language, and beating all the other contestants.

Anxiety is not common among the actors in the daily soaps. This anxiety makes the shows more realistic and connects us to the facts.

For a more adventurous show, we watch the popular reality show Fear Factor. Here we see a group of contestants that compete each other by doing something that can be very scary for some, but fairly easy for others.

Participants in the Fear Factor struggle with their own fear and anxiety in a way one can't just imagine. They eat living insects, jump from a height of three hundred feet in the air and get locked with snakes in the coffin.

It's the fear and anxiety of contestants that can hype up the viewers. This reality is the enjoyment for public and people are coming closer to know what's real and what's not on the television. Entertainment is evolving to get a different outlook leaving behind the old fictions.

UFC 98 Review: Machida, Hughes Big Winners

When golf legend Jack Nicklaus was still a young upstart in the sport and only starting to tear up PGA courses, legend Bobby Jones commented following 'The Golden Bear's''65 Masters win that "he plays a game with which I am not familiar". Following his absolute destruction of Rashad Evans in the main event of UFC 98, there's likely a few MMA fighters saying the same thing about the new light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida who made it look easy en route to a 2nd round TKO victory.

The fight started slowly, with each man trying to get a feel for his opponent and wait him out to see who blinked first. Late in the first round, Machida went on offense with frightening suddenness, flooring Evans with a nice straight right hand. Evans was able to recover and survive, but it only delayed the inevitable as Machida used another right hand to send his opponent down again. Evans gamely tried to fight back, but a final right hand from the Shotokan Karate master left him out cold.

After the fight UFC announcer Joe Rogan proclaimed the start of the Machida era and this is not just mere hyperbole. Machida is unlike any fighter before him, rooted in mastery of traditional martial arts but with the versatility of a modern MMA competitor. He's essentially a Mortal Kombat character come to life--in a more realistic cross disciplinary comparison he shares many of the same characteristics as boxing great Floyd Mayweather, Jr. as he combines insane handspeed, underrated stopping power and nearly impenetrable defense into an unorthodox and extremely lethal package.

Outside of the cage, Machida is a modest and respectful gentleman who is quick to give credit to his father and his karate teachers for his MMA success. He spent most of his UFC 98 postfight interview not singing his own praises, but imploring others to strive to realize their dreams. In the past, his limited English was seen as a potential marketing liability here in the US but on this occasion he demonstrated vastly improved fluency in the language as a Portuguese translator stood by.

An odd trivia note about Machida serves as further repudiation for MMA neophytes who think that the sports kinship with pro wrestling began with Brock Lesnar: Machida was discovered by Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, and became something of his protege. He trained for some time at the New Japan Pro Wrestling dojo in Tokyo and made his MMA debut on a NJPW card in 2003, defeating Pancrase veteran Kengo Watanabe. For a time, Inoki had designs on pushing Machida as his predecessor, but his success in shoot fights quickly opened up other doors.

Perhaps the most frightening thing about Machida is that hes only now reaching his full potential as an MMA fighter. In other words, hes only going to get better which is a scary prospect for opponents given the fact that hes never lost in MMA competition. In his recent bouts hes shown a downright lethal ability to end fights. He stopped Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou at UFC 79 with an arm triangle choke, and blitzed Evans and previous foe Thiago Alves with punishing punching combinations en route to TKO victories.

Machida will very likely face Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson in a future light heavyweight title defense and, with all due respect to the PRIDE/UFC veteran, its difficult to see him faring much differently than Evans did. One thing working in 'Rampage's' favor is his greater experience and a resume filled with high level opponents of various fighting styles. Still, everyone comes back to the fundamental reality that no one has ever really seen a fighter quite like Machida before.

In the co-main event of the evening, Matt Hughes defeated Matt Serra by unanimous decision to gain the upperhand in their long running feud. It was a surprisingly entertaining fight, with Serra taking the first round with his power punching before Hughes used his takedown and ground control abilities to win rounds two and three. The two men embraced after the fight so, for now at least, their well known dislike for one another that began during their stint as rival coaches on The Ultimate Fighter may have ebbed.

Your key to raising capital is to go directly to the public via vehicles such as a Private Placement Memorandum (Regulation D Rule 504, 505 and 506) which will allow you to sell stock in your company in return for capital and the ultimate in maximum capitalization would be to go public on the OTCBB (Over The Counter Bulletin Board), NASDAQ or NYSE. Even the London Exchange or Frankfurt Exchange are better options then institutional lending sources.

Taking your company public, growth through acquisition and merger and solidifying your public position with a hefty amount of corporate publicity and hardcore investor relations, this is what will get you to the next level.

Over The Counter Bulletin Board - Take Your Company Public - OTCBB

So many companies dream of going public both as a growth and exit strategy but unfortunately few succeed with this process. The third party audit, sponsoring of the S1 and 211 by a market maker and SEC comments stage is just one of the obstacles involved with taking a company public. The attempt at going public and actually achieving a symbol are two entirely different things and if you are lucky enough to achieve a symbol there's a completely separate area of expertise needed to keep your stock trading and to preserve a company's longevity in the marketplace.

Here are some things you need to keep in mind when gearing up to take your company public. Forget everything that you've read and heard and pay attention to what you're about to read because this is the straight forward, objective reality of the process. First, do not hire an attorney to take you public as they will take you on a long drawn out process to get as many billable hours as possible, instead, hire a consulting firm whose sole business model is to take companies public and take advantage of the relationships that they have with attorneys. This is the first rule: hire a consulting firm that offers a complete A to Z turn-key solution for taking a company through the process of going public, achieving a symbol and preserving the trade with a solid, ongoing post public investor relations strategy.

Next, when you've decided on a consulting firm evaluate their team, don't ask for references to call to research their track record, better yet, ask for symbols of previous clients and links to the Edgar database to check out current deals in the comments stage. The proof is in the empirical track record, not potentially fraudulent phone references that are easily engineered and BS.

Now look at their team. Make sure that the consulting group has a solid legal team, market makers, investor relations team, auditing group and someone well versed in the comments stage response as this can be one of the major hang-ups in achieving your symbol in a timely manner. Also, most important, they absolutely MUST have a solid group of investors to fund the process for equity and to sell their shares into the marketplace post public to create a market for your stock as well as a network of market makers familiar with your deal to piggyback off of the sponsoring market maker's 211.

About one month away from symbol achievement you'll want to meet with your consultants to get a solid IR strategy together for a big offering dbut. You will want to set up a strategy for 30 day IR intensives every other month with general corporate publicity strategies in between. I suggest changing your IR firm each quarter to keep it fresh and open up your trade to a new network of investors.

One special note to consider is that when you are raising your initial round of capital from seed investors, the fastest way to do this is to have a fist full of contracts and purchase orders in hand to strengthen your position and publicize this reality with an arsenal of press releases. Its 100 times easier to raise capital if you are showing seed investors a handful of 'soon to be' cash than to solicit them empty handed.

Obviously there are a multitude of other issues that you need to take into consideration when going public so find a consulting firm that can help you make it happen. Don't try to venture out into these waters on your own as you'll be diving into shark infested waters and you'll almost certainly fail.
